Melbourne’s professional performing arts awards, recognising outstanding achievements in Cabaret, Contemporary & Experimental Performance, Dance, Independent Theatre, Music Theatre, Opera, and Theatre Companies were announced today.
‘This year marks the 33rd annual presentation of our awards and today, on Melbourne’s official Theatre Day, we are delighted to announce the 256 nominations for 60 awards across the seven art form panels,’ said the Green Room Awards Association’s new president, Dr Hilary Glow, adding that she sees the awards as ‘a vital part of recognising and celebrating the skills of Victoria’s performing arts community’.
