Event Producer

City Recital Hall is looking for an Event Producer to plan, prepare and lead the delivery of exceptional live events.

$95K – $105K + Super | Permanent role | Sydney CBD location

 

City Recital Hall, Angel Place is one of Australia’s most acoustically exceptional music venues. We are home to a high volume and variety of music and talk events.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in bringing those performances to life.

As Event Producer, you will partner with artists, promoters, hirers and internal teams to plan, prepare and lead the delivery of exceptional live events at City Recital Hall.

Reporting to the Director of Programming and Events, you will be the primary contact for hirers, promoters and key presenters who utilise the Hall from initial booking through to settlement and event closure. This includes CRH Presents and self-produced events.  

You will oversee every aspect of an event including the acquisition, contracting, scheduling and preparation of finances, products, services, information and delivery to meet the objectives and outcomes of the event, on time and within budget.

The role advocates on behalf of the customer while balancing the needs of the various internal and external stakeholders.

Note: The role will involve evening and weekend work.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in performing arts organisations, venue management or similar.
  • Excellent customer relations, negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in managing or producing a variety of events including classical recitals, contemporary music and corporate events.
  • Experience managing budgets and financial processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Ability to quickly learn and implement new systems and procedures.
  • Valid Australian working rights and current NSW Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment.
