Earlier this month the International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies (IFACCA) launched WorldCP, an international database of cultural policies.

The WorldCP database provides a central, regularly updated source of country-specific profiles that is likely to prove a powerful resource to researchers and those interested in cultural policy development. It’s modeled on the Council of Europe/ERICarts Compendium of Cultural Policies and Trends in Europe and in time the 35 profiles listed on www.culturalpolicies.net will also be available on WorldCP. The Asia-Europe Foundation is also a partner and will develop further cultural policy profiles of Asian countries to add to the database with hopes to develop further links with Arab countries, Latin America and Africa as well.
