Development and Programs Officer

Rockhampton Regional Council is looking for an arts and culture professional to deliver engaging programs, events and audience experiences.

  • Permanent Full Time
  • Monday to Friday, 72.5 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
  • $107,154 – $111,619  per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 5) + Superannuation
  • Location – Rockhampton

Your new role

Reporting to the Coordinator Major Venues, you will play a key role in developing, coordinating and delivering a diverse range of performing arts, cultural and community programs and events across the Rockhampton Region. You will contribute to audience development, support community participation and help deliver memorable experiences that strengthen the region’s vibrant arts and cultural sector.

In this dynamic role, you will coordinate public programs and activities including the annual See It Live Theatre Program, Rockhampton Carols by Candlelight, Council’s annual multicultural festival and a range of community-focused events. You will also undertake the role of Assistant Producer for Council’s annual musical theatre production and work closely with artists, community groups, sponsors, volunteers and key stakeholders to achieve successful program outcomes.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering projects within approved budgets and timeframes, monitoring program performance, supporting audience growth initiatives and identifying opportunities for partnerships, funding and community engagement

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and engage groups through facilitated community projects
  • Proficient in ensuring program project plans and budgets timeframes are met
