The Minderoo Foundation Artist Fund supports mid-career artists at a critical point in their careers, empowering them to realise ambitious creative projects and build sustainable futures in WA.
Whether you’re developing a new body of work, exploring a bold creative idea or taking your practice in a new direction, the 2027 Minderoo Foundation Artist Fund provides the time, space and support to make it happen.
Since launching in 2020, the Artist Fund has supported more than 60 mid-career artists to create new work, develop their practice, and contribute to the cultural life of the state.
From visual artists and musicians to writers, dancers and multidisciplinary practitioners, the Artist Fund supports artists working across all art forms. There are no restrictions on the type of project proposed.
The opportunity doesn’t end with the grant or residency itself.
Artists selected for the 2027 cohort will also be eligible for two major awards. The Georgia Malone Artist Prize awards $15,000 to an artist who demonstrates resilience, innovation and courage in delivering their Artist Fund project and in sustaining a creative career.
In addition, the judging panel will award the prestigious Minderoo Artist Award, a $50,000 prize presented to an artist whose work exemplifies outstanding artistic achievement, ambition and impact.
