Willoughby Young Composer Award Winner Announced

An Australian composer inspired by poetry has won this year's Willoughby Young Composer Award.

Brisbane-based composer, Rachel Merton, has won the 2013 Willoughby Symphony Orchestra and Choice – Fine Music 102.5 Young Composer Award.

Her composition And The World Was Finally Right was inspired by the Jordie Albiston poem A Brief History, and takes audiences through the creation of the universe.
