State Opera AD resigns abruptly

Personal reasons have been cited for the Artistic Director’s unexpected departure.

Timothy Sexton, the Artistic Director and CEO of the State Opera of South Australia (SOSA), has unexpectedly resigned from the company, citing personal reasons for his departure.

Sexton, who previously served as the company’s chorus master and conductor, was appointed to the joint AD/CEO position in 2011.
