At the end of 2006, Ruth Osborne continued to concentrate on advancing opportunities for young people in dance through the Quantum Leap youth dance ensemble and other programs. Although originally part of the Australian Choreographic Centre, whose Australia Council triennial funding ceased around this time, these programs continued on with assistance from artACT and other funding sources.
During 2007, Quantum Leap staged major performance projects, including touring Reckless Valour to the Come Out Festival in Adelaide, and developing Unspeakable to be performed at the Canberra Playhouse.
