Concept drawing of John Wardle Architectures installation unveiled this month; supplied
Textiles are not the first thing one conjures when thinking of architectural commissions or outdoor artworks but John Wardle Architects has created a luminous pink hemisphere of 1350 hand-folded textile blooms that will transform the NGV’s backyard.
The work is the inaugural NGV Summer Architecture Commission, an award that allows architects and designers to create design innovative, temporary outdoor installations and structures in NGV International’s Grollo Equiset Garden.
