On 31 August, Australia will celebrate the Bicentenary of the death of Governor Arthur Phillip (1738-1814), Commander of the First Fleet and founder of the Colony of New South Wales.

Minister for Heritage, Rob Stokes, announced a program of special events to mark the occasion, led by the Historic Houses Trust of NSW.
