Billionaire acquires Russian art worth $60 million

Russian business tycoon and renowned art collector Roman Abramovich may have just made his biggest purchase yet. Recent reports indicate that Abramovich and his partner Dasha Zhukova purchased a collection of over 40 works by Russian artist Ilya Kabakov estimated to have cost over $60 million.

It’s one of the largest Kabakov collections in the world,’ Kabakov’s wife, Emilia, told Bloomberg. ‘It’s also the most outstanding in terms of quality and art-historical significance.
