NT’s first literary journal in 20 years set to launch

Borderlands will publish its first edition next week, showcasing the Northern Territory’s homegrown talent.

The Northern Territory hasn’t had its own literary magazine since Northern Perspective ceased publication last millennium. But a new kid on the block promises to put the NT’s own writers and artists in the spotlight.

On 13 November 2019, Borderlands will launch its first online edition at Darwin’s Parliament House with guest speaker Marie Munkara, an acclaimed author and Indigenous advisor to the journal. A print edition will follow in May 2020.
