Young singers battle for Australasia’s top award

Five finalists have been chosen to take part in the Australian Singing Competition's upcoming performance.

The IFAC Australian Singing Competition has announced five finalists for 2013 who will compete in the Finals Concert in Sydney on 28 September.

The competition, for opera and classical singers under 26 years, is the richest of its kind is Australasia. Past winners include Rachelle Durkin, Amelia Farrugia, Stuart Skelton and Paul Whelan, who have all gone on to achieve national and international acclaim.
