Legendary trumpeter James Morrison’s name has been perpetually recorded in jazz history after he was inducted into the Australian Jazz Hall of Fame in Melbourne last week.

Morrison, who was honoured at the 11th annual Australian Jazz Bell Awards at the Regent Theatre, has shared the stage with the likes of Ray Charles, Dizzy Gillespie and Whitney Houston as well as a who’s who of Australian jazz musicians. He now joins an illustrious list of Australian Jazz Bell alumni including Mike Nock, Bernie McGann, Don Burrows and John Pochée.
