The week began with the announcement of the winners of the 19th annual Deadly Awards, paying tribute to trailblazers in the Indigenous community across the arts, music, sport, education, health and science.

Young printmaker Loique Allain won the Lane Cove Council Acquisitive Prize at the Lloyd Rees Memorial Youth Art Award in Sydney.

Her winning lino cut titled ‘Bulls Creek Road’ netted her $5000 and a solo exhibition at Gallery Lane Cove.
