French scribe Victor Hugo once said ‘Laughter is the sun that drives winter from the human face’. Well, the folks behind Enlighten Festival know this and also thinks it’s a great way to simply celebrate autumn, when the city bursts with colour and comedy for this annual event.
In Show Us Your Mandate! the world of pollies and power is lampooned when late night comedy returns to the Museum of Australia Democracy at Old Parliament House for one night only. Returning to the Museum after a 2012 sell-out series, the performance will once again deliver the laughs when the country’s top comics take aim at all things political.
