Sydney Writers’ Festival can add a feather to its cap with the appointment of retiring Australia Council chair James Strong to its board.
Strong’s extensive corporate CV – including his chairmanship of Woolworths and his former role as CEO at Qantas – combine with his recent role at Australia Council to make him a highly desirable appointment for any major arts organisation.
