Steinway acquired for $438 million

Steinway Musical Instruments Incorporated, which includes renowned piano brand Steinway & Sons, has been sold to Kohlberg & Company for approximately $438 million.

In the deal Kohlberg will commence a tender offer to acquire outstanding shares for $35.00 in cash per share. The board of directors of Steinway unanimously support this offer.
