In possibly one of the most bizarre artistic collaborations, the Sydney Theatre Company is joining forces with the Department of Defence. The STC and the Australian Defence Force (ADF) are banding together to illuminate the experiences of men and women wounded or injured during their service in the Australian Defence Force (ADF), bringing the personal stories of our soldiers to the stage as part of a program to support rehabilitation and recovery.

During 2013, ADF personnel will work closely with professional artists to develop the production, with the potential public performance occurring in 2014. The project highlights the ability of the arts to assist in the healing process, with servicemen and women affected by combat, from post-traumatic stress disorder to physical incapacities, offered the chance to explore rehabilitation through artistic methods.
