In a world of digitalised reading, the tradition of the pop-up book could have become a relic.

But a Melbourne-based designer has brought the popular form back to life and added a 21st century spin. Stewart Haines has created “Picklets”, pop-up books designed for the digitally savvy.

Released on the Australian Apple iTunes App Store in April, Picklets offer interactive picture books that combine reading and animation to bring back the much-loved book form.
