NIDA announces two new graduate courses for 2014

Master of Fine Arts (Directing) and Master of Fine Arts (Writing for Performance) are new training options for aspiring directors.

Both courses, available from January next year, will be 15 months in duration and taught at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts in Sydney.

As part of the requirements of the Directing degree, student directors will be required to examine the structure of dramatic writing, analyse the work of iconic contemporary directors, write their personal directing manifesto,  analyse contemporary performance, and research and write an academic journal article reflecting an aspect of their practice.
