New home for experimental arts space

Testing Grounds loses one home to gain another thanks to the $100 million Melbourne City Recovery Fund.

Testing Grounds, an outdoor space for creative practices encompassing art, performance and design, will relocate to Melbourne’s Queen Victoria Market precinct following the loss of its original Southbank home.

An initiative of Creative Victoria and conceived as a temporary activation in 2013, Testing Grounds turned a long-vacant, over-grown parcel of land at 1 City Road in Southbank into a vibrant creative space.
