More job vacancies in the arts

Arts employment appears strong despite the lowest job vacancy rate across the economy in almost three years.

Australia’s supply of vacant jobs is low but there are plenty of job vacancies in the arts, at least on a superficial reading of the figures.

 

The Australian Bureau of Statistics has announced gloomy job vacancy rates across the economy with only 166,800 vacancies, seasonally adjusted, in November 2012, the lowest level since May 2010.
