Jazz community celebrates Bell Awards winners

From a Hall of Fame induction, to the Young Australian Jazz Artist of the Year, the awards celebrate the full jazz spectrum.

The nation’s jazz community gathered in Melbourne last night for the presentation of the 2014 Australian Jazz Bell Awards, recognising outstanding recordings and live performances from 2013.

Pianist and composer Joseph O’Connor was awarded Young Australian Jazz Artist of the Year, adding to his already significant collection of accolades, which include the prestigious National Jazz Award (2013) and winning the 2011 National Big Band Composition Competition.
