Over Easter, from March 30-1 April, the streets of Fremantle will come alive with some of the world’s most acclaimed street, outdoor theatre, music, comedy, circus and cabaret performers for the Fremantle Street Arts Festival. The largest street arts festival in Australia, it has more than 30 performers and an expected 150,000 spectators in 2013. Last year, 110,000 patrons passed through the Festival, generating over $3.7m for the local economy.

The internationally-renowned festival, presented by the City of Fremantle, and supported by the Western Australian Government, has grown significantly since its inception in 1999. Fremantle Mayor Dr Brad Pettitt, says, ‘We are proud that the Fremantle Street Arts Festival is internationally recognised and consistently attracts the cream of the world’s street performing talent. Each year a variety of different artists are curated to provide performances that are unique and full of surprises.
