No arts festival would be complete without actual art now would it? No, it wouldn’t and there’s no chance of visitors to Canberra missing out this March, with a series of world-class exhibitions open late across the capital.

The National Portrait Gallery of Australia will be one of the premiere destinations to visit during Enlighten. The iconic gallery will host First Ladies: Significant Australian Women 1913-2013, which will celebrate our nation’s women across diverse fields such as politics, activism and academia to sport, science and business, exalting household names and illuminating the efforts of unsung heroines.
