Escher exhibition is world’s most popular

Since the Brazilian Escher exhibition is found to be the world’s most popular art show, experts have endeavored to find out what it was that made this show so wildly successful.

Last month’s surprising news was that Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil (CCBB) in Rio hosted three of the ten most visited exhibitions of 2011. Amongst them was ‘The Magical World of Escher’, an exhibition of Dutch graphic artist M.C. Escher’s various works, which was found to be the most popular art show in the world.

The exhibition attracted almost 10,000 visitors every day, a shocking 1,500 more than the ‘Alexander McQueen’ show at the New York Met.
