The beauty of Enlighten is that there’s something for the entire family, with a host of kid-friendly events to get involved in during March. Kids love staying up late, and at Enlighten they’re likely to learn something while doing so – even if that’s just how to have fun.
The Australian National Botanic Gardens throws its door open for Starry Starry afterDark, an evening experience of sights, sounds and smells of native Australia flora. After making your own star-shaped lantern to guide you, take a tour through the Rainforest Gully under a canopy of stars lighting the sky especially for Enlighten. At the end of this adventure, the Canberra Astronomical Society will host a star-gazing experience on the beautiful Rock Garden Lawn.
