Produced by the Melbourne-based community arts company Phunktional, Beyond the Walls is a professional dance performance which brings the stories and experiences of young people in the juvenile justice system to life through dance.

Several professional dancers, including First Nations dancer Glenn Thomas, held workshops with young people in Reiby and Frank Baxter Juvenile Justice Centres (JJC) across greater Sydney, listening to their experiences and creating a collaborative performance from their experiences.
