This time we won’t have to wait so long for the next Biennale of Sydney to roll around. It has been announced that the 19th Biennale of Sydney, You Imagine What You Desire, will be held from 21 March to 9 June 2014, with the Vernissage taking place between 18 and 20 March. The new dates make it the earliest opening of the event in its 40-year history.
Every two years, the Biennale of Sydney brings a 12-week public program of innovative and challenging contemporary art on an international scale. Typified by large-scale installation works in museums and industrial sites around Sydney, the Biennale is a playground for those of us who seek new encounters with contemporary art.
