Renowned Cirque du Soleil choreographer Franco Dragone has been booked to direct both the opening and closing ceremonies of the upcoming World Cup in Brazil. The Italian-Belgian choreographer announced the news through a company statement, revealing that a contract had been booked after months of negotiations.
Dragone is no stranger to directing sports ceremonies, having previously directed the opening ceremonies for the Euro 2000 football championships in Brussels and for the 2010 South American Games.
