The composer of three award-winning martial arts films will conduct the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) in March this year. Tan Dun, a world-renowned Chinese composer, will lead the MSO in its performance of the musical scores of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000), Hero (2002) and The Banquet (2006).
Taking place on 1 and 2 March at the Arts Centre Melbourne’s Hamer Hall, the performance will feature scenes from the three films on a large screen above the stage. The Tan Dun Martial Arts Trilogy is set to excite crowds with Oscar and Academy-award winning soundtracks.
