50 Indigenous artists to attend Pacific Festival

The Australia Council for the Arts has announced that the largest Australian presence yet will be felt at the 11th Festival of Pacific Arts in the Solomon Islands.

Every four years since 1972, the Festival of Pacific Arts brings together Indigenous performers, artists and cultural practitioners for a lively exhibition of their traditional dance, music, food and crafts.

This year, the festival will see the largest number of Australians yet making the trip to Honiara in the Solomon Islands, with 50 Indigenous artists selected to take part in the grand cultural exhibition.
