Looking for a beautiful answer. Melbourne photographer and teacher John Cato is honoured with a retrospective exhibition, book launch and DVD at BIFB’13.

Remembered and revered as a humble man with no time for humbug, John Cato might be embarrassed by the fuss his former colleagues and students have made of him two years after his death in February 2011. One of the first lyrical photographers in the country and a teacher who attracted the utmost respect, John Cato inspired rare affection and devotion from the ones who knew him best.
