Art Sales Consultant
Curatorial+Co. is looking for an energetic, art market-savvy, friendly and sales-focused Art Sales Consultant to join our dynamic team.

Showcasing a curated collection of original contemporary artworks from emerging and mid-career artists, the gallery breaks tradition with the white-box gallery format. Our Sydney gallery shows regular exhibitions to foster our artists’ growth and engage audiences, and our Art Consultancy service for residential, commercial, hotel and public art clients creates a lasting connection between artists and individual collectors, interior designers, architects and organisations.
We are looking for an energetic, art market-savvy, friendly and sales-focused Art Sales Consultant to join our dynamic team. This position reports to the Gallery Director and is responsible for driving new business and consumer sales to the gallery from exhibitions, art fairs, web enquiries, walk-ins, institutional and interior designer connections. Building relationships will come naturally to you, through connecting with our clients as well as collaborating with our team to drive business.
KEY Responsibilities:

Drive sales of all artworks from our collection, exhibitions + art fairs

Business development + outreach

Meeting + exceeding sales targets

Project management for art commissions from initial sale to installation

Excellent written + verbal communication + high level of responsiveness with clients

Creating proposals, including renders
-
Knowledge of + passion for fine art + interior design
Requirements + Additional Skills:

2+ years as a proven successful sales consultant, preferably within the fine arts, luxury or design sector

Outstanding written + verbal communication skills, with a flair for relationship management

Knowledge of the arts industry + passion for supporting artists

A creative eye, a high-end aesthetic + an understanding of current art market

Ability to think outside the box, aligning with Curatorial+Co.’s brand

Extreme attention to detail with a passion for perfection

A drive for excellent customer service + great interpersonal skills
-
Valid Australian driver’s license + ability to lift + carry
-
Australian permanent resident status or citizenship required for this position
Highly desirable

Bachelor degree in the arts + arts management

Proficiency in Microsoft Office + Adobe Suite, particularly Photoshop, Hubspot

Previous sales experience in an art gallery, design or art consultancy environment

Location: Woolloomooloo, Sydney

Full Time position (Tuesday-Saturday, plus evening exhibition openings + art fairs)

Remuneration will be based on the right candidate’s experience, base + commission.
