TICKETING & MARKETING MANAGER
We’re seeking an experienced and energetic Ticketing and Marketing Manager for the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM).
You’ll be joining a team with the collective purpose to leverage the brand, amplifying ANAM’s profile across the country and internationally to ensuring reach and revenue growth. This positions the organisation for long-term artistic and financial sustainability.

About ANAM
The Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) is special. Part music training academy, part performing arts company, there is no other organisation anywhere in the world that dances the line between the two so effectively.
ANAM is currently based at Abbotsford Convent before moving back to South Melbourne Town Hall in 2028, following a multi-million dollar redevelopment. ANAM Recitals and concerts are focused in ANAM’s four terms. They take place alongside our work in partnership with other sector partners (including state orchestras) and those in Arts8.
The Marketing team’s collective purpose is to leverage the brand, amplifying ANAM’s profile across the country and internationally and ensuring reach and revenue growth. This positions the organisation for long-term artistic and financial sustainability.

Details of engagement
Position title: Ticketing and Marketing Manager
Salary classification: Level D (from ANAM’s Workplace Agreement 2016)
Salary: $94,017 (plus super)
Time fraction: full time (1.0EFT)
Employment type: Ongoing part time, subject to the successful completion of a probationary period
Reports to: Marketing and Communications Director
Works closely with: Marketing and philanthropy departments, ANAM faculty and musicians
Direct reports: n/a
Location: Based at the Abbotsford Convent, Abbotsford, Melbourne
Commencement: asap
End date: n/a, permanent ongoing – subject to the successful completion of a three month probationary period
INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Ticketing
The postholder:
- is highly proficient in Tessitura, managing box office operations for ANAM ticketed events. This includes implementing ticket builds, the ANAMates membership program and working with venue key partners.
- is responsible for overseeing system upgrades and maintenance of Tessitura along with other Tessitura System Administrators
- Trains and rosters casual box office staff for concerts at Abbotsford Convent.
- Works with the philanthropy team and Marketing assistant scheduling FOH for ANAM performances during term time
- In collaboration with the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will develop and implement policies, procedures and improvements for ticketing processes
- Collect, track and analyse data (including attendance, demographics, audience and donor behaviour etc.) to inform communication and engagement strategies
- With the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for PCI compliance, Privacy Principles and the LPA Ticketing Code of Practice
Campaign Marketing
- Working with the Director of Marketing and team, develop key marketing campaigns (print and digital) to communicate the brand and ensure growth.
- Manage relationships with design partners, providing clear briefs, managing timelines and ensure material is delivered on time and budget.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to develop and plan eDMs, digital assets and social media materials;
- Track, analyse and report on marketing performance, using insights to refine and inform future activity.

Selection requirements
Mandatory
- Highly proficient in Tessitura, including the ability to build performances
- Experience training, rostering and managing front of house staff
- a detail-oriented marketer with experience in campaign management
Desirable
- Experience in classical/ lyric arts
Other requirements
- Availability to work outside regular ‘office’ hours , including some evenings and weekends if required.
- Ability to travel locally as required.
All ANAM employees are required to obtain
- Current Working with Children Check;
- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check;
- Proof of an entitlement to work in Australia.
