The winner of this year’s Tom Malone Prize, one of Australia’s premier glass art prizes, is glass artist Tom Moore for his work Buff Sandy. The piece will be added to the State Art Collection at the Art Gallery of Western Australia.
First awarded in 2003, the Tom Malone Prize recognises high quality and innovative glass artwork annually. Notable winners of the Tom Malone Prize include Nick Mount (a judge of this year’s prize), Jessica Loughlin, Clare Belfrage, Benjamin Sewell, Kevin Gordon, Charles Butcher, Cobi Cockburn, Brian Corr and Deirdre Feeney.
