New Zealand flagship institution Govett-Brewster Art Gallery has appointed director Simon Rees at a time of great change. Simon Rees is hardly a new face for the Gallery and its world renowned Len Lye Centre. From 2002-2004 he was the curator of contemporary art for the gallery on New Zealand’s North Island. Songstress Katie Noonan will replace Paul McDermott as ambassador to the Adelaide Fringe. ‘Katie Noonan is one of Australia’s most versatile and talented singers and has had a long relationship with Adelaide Fringe over the last 14 years. She is a true artist in every sense of the word,’ said Greg Clarke, director and CEO of the Adelaide Fringe. Find out more about her appointment here.
