The country’s best science fiction, horror and fantasy writers descended on Sydney over the weekend for the announcement of the 2012 Aurealis Awards.

Established in 1995 by Chimaera Publications, the publisher of Aurealis magazine, the annual awards serve as a complement to the Annual Australian National Science Fiction Convention’s Ditmar Awards and the Australian Children’s Book Council Awards.
