The future of journalism will be open for discussion at the Melbourne Writers’ Festival with media figures from avowed populist Derryn Hinch to Melbourne University director of the Centre for Advanced Journalism Margaret Simons.

The New News an open conference enabling the public to engage with notable media industry figures and academics. Tim Dunlop from The Drum, Melissa Fyfe from The Age and Matthew Pinkney from the Herald Sun will be among the, news professionals, bloggers and citizen journalists debating the future of news gathering and reporting.
