New kid on the Melbourne theatre block, Mockingbird Theatre, has just announced its 2013 performance season, featuring text-based contemporary and classic plays from around the world played by a mixture of Melbourne’s experienced and emerging talents.
Mockingbird Theatre was established in response to a need for quality text-based theatre on the Melbourne independent theatre scene. There are wonderful companies doing original works of the highest standard and Mockingbird aims to do the same with established scripts, whether premieres or great modern plays that deserve another look,’ says says Chris Baldock, Founder and Artistic Director.
