Standing on Ceremony – The Gay Marriage Plays is a theatrical anthology of nine short plays exploring the topic of marriage equality, penned by a diverse collection of writers, including Paul Rudnick (Jeffrey), Neil LaBute (In the Company of Men) and Moisés Kaufman (The Laramie Project). Though generally genial, often comedic and charming, this dramatic omnibus is not without its darker moments, as evidenced by Kaufman’s London Mosquitoes, in which a widower, Joe, eulogises Paul, his partner of 46 years, at his lover’s funeral.
