We speak to the new Emerging Writers’ Festival director about staying up late, yoga, literary rockstars and the importance of having writer friends.

Sam Twyford-Moore is tired. It’s not because we meet on a Monday and he’s been partying all weekend.  

As the incoming director of the Emerging Writers’ Festival (EWF), the 27-year-old Sydney transplant has spent the last week securing triennial funding. With that taken care of, his day has involved traversing Melbourne to visit the sites that will host the EWF’s 50 plus events and 200 artists.
