Australian theatre director David Berthold has been announced as independent performing arts curator for the 2013 Brisbane Festival.
This appointment coincides with a public call out to independent artists interested in having their work considered for the 2013 festival program. Expressions of interest are sought for new or existing works, with a key focus on contemporary performances for intimate spaces as well as indoor and outdoor installation-based work. As the curator, David Berthold will assess submissions and create a performance program with particular attention to supporting diverse art forms and enabling experimental practice.
