Belvoir’s NSW Philips Parsons Fellowship for Emerging Playwrights has undergone some changes this year, making it potentially more desirable to up-and-coming writers.

The most immediate change is the prize on offer: $20,000 is a bump up from the $12,500 winners previously received. It takes the form of a $12,500 commission of a new play for Belvoir and $7,5000 for creative development with Belvoir’s artistic staff.
