Last week the 36 songwriters and composers were announced, with the winners to be handpicked by a panel of high profile judges that includes Jason Mraz, Josh Pyke, Gary Clark, Troy Cassar-Daley and Sam Hollander, who will whittle down the list to find out which artists will receive one of the eight PDAs, to be announced on 25 March.

Those artists who have made the finalists’ list include many who are already rising stars in the music industry, including Australian Idol alumni and Triple J darling Matt Corby, electro siren Elizabeth Rose, former busker Husky Gawenda, and ukulele maestro Leah Flanagan, as well as experimental composer Julian Day, country music wonders Chlesea Basham, Lachlan Bryan and Morgan Evans, screen composer Amy Bastow and Australian jazz musician Casey Golden.
