ACP goes into hibernation, rather than administration

The Board of the Australian Centre for Photography has announced an imminent ‘hibernation’ to stem the risk of ongoing financial losses.

One of Australia’s oldest photographic arts organisations, Darlinghurst’s Australian Centre for Photography (ACP) has today (20 November) announced an imminent move into a period of hibernation – a shutting down of shop for a period of time – rather than an administration.

ACP’s Director and CEO, Pierre Arpin told ArtsHub: ‘We are basically taking a break, and stopping our activities to determine what may arise out of this. At this point we don’t know what that will be. The board will be setting up a sub-committee to investigate options for future development.’
