The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) has been given a funding boost of $8.5 million from the state government, which will lock in summer blockbusters and upgrade gallery spaces.

$4.5 million will be divvied out over the next two years to set up a new season of warm weather blockbuster exhibitions to align with the gallery’s chilly yet successful Winter Masterpieces series.
