Aboriginal songwriter and survivor of the Stolen Generations, Brian Morley, reflects on the day, 11 years ago, when former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd gave the National Apology to the Stolen Generations.

For many, the word ‘sorry’ brought tears of sorrow and relief, and closure to what is a terrible chapter in the nation’s history. Yet for Brian, the song he wrote about his own response, ‘It’s Not About’, took a different note.
