Staff cuts bring the Powerhouse Museum inline with industry standards.

Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum has been struggling for years, both financially and through dwindling attendance figures. A new strategic plan announced last week will revitalize the Museum, however it calls for a rationalization of staffing levels that equates to a fifth of the organisation’s staff loosing their jobs over a three-month roll out. But the changes are not entirely negative.
